SML"Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.” Stephen King gives us a total description of who Miriam Maame Safowaa is, and the work she is putting into growing her talent.

Miriam, a multitalented young lady, with exceptional command over the English and Twi language started pursuing a career in acting from her childhood.

A product of St. John’s Grammar Senior High School, Miriam Safowaa has a good register of productions she has played various roles in. Her portfolio is filled with jobs from movies to tv series to tv commercials. Notable amongst the long list of jobs she has been involved in include, Obra, The Legend, Dirty Pretty Secretes, Children of The Mountain, Yours Truly, Sunshine Avenue, Airtel and Blue Jeans Commercials.

The 173cm sportive lady loves to play football and volleyball.

Although Miriam is well known for her acting prowess, she is blessed with a very good voice and leaves many marveled by her alto or baritone vocals, depending on what she is singing.

Maame is currently preparing to play a major part in SEG Cineland’s next production, “Slumber Party” to be released in October this year.

Miriam Safowaa is casted for the role of Nyamekye a highly superstitious character who is very much engrossed in tradition. Her character sets off a debate on the need for Africans to do away with primitive thoughts of attributing every unfortunate incident to the work of a deity.

Miriam, who studied Procurement Management at Accra Polytechnic, now Accra Technical University, loves watching movies when she is not tied up with work.
